History
2:Timothy 1:9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life, not because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.
Pastor Calvin R. Jenkins Sr. received his Ordination in Ministry June 13Th, 2007 by authority and order of The Fellowship Temple Baptist Church of Cedar Hill, TX. He also has a degree in Engineering and served our country for 17 years as a captain in the U.S. Army, he also owns and operates CJS Construction since 2000. He is also a father of 4 beautiful children and 2 wonderful grandsons. He sings, plays the bass, the keyboard, and trumpet. He was also a part of Kappa Kappa Psi, he wears many hats and is well respected both in the spiritual world as well as the business world.
Pastor Calvin. R. Jenkins Sr. and his 1s Lady J accepted the Lord at a very early age in life. Pastor Calvin R. Jenkins Sr. founded A Change For Christ Ministry in the year 2000, it wasn't until 2007 he and his 1st Lady Rosita Sterling-Jenkins began to do the work of the Lord. After going through ups and downs good and bad times, & unexplainable trails for years, and after breaking all strongholds from every angle of life it all makes sense to them now that the both of them have accepted their call to minister to others in every aspect of their lives. Both with hearts bigger than the universe, they were given many gifts and talents but the one that resonates the most is the gift of giving back to others who have fallen in some way and are searching to learn the word of God.
Mission Statement
To Be used by the Lord to restore others spiritually, physically, and mentally, so that they can live according to God's will for their lives. So that the people will understand that change is a process and not an event! To teach the people how to study God's word and apply it to their everyday life so that Jeremiah 29:11 can resonate in them to be a living testimony and help bring others to believe Romans 10:9.
Vision
God gave us a vision in 2007 to start an outreach ministry that would be called A Change For Christ. Write the vision and make it plain those that run, may not faint ,If the Lord said it, He will surely do just what He said.
For although what God spoke in 2007 tarried, on today, we have a testimony that God will watch over His word to perform it.
We are humbled with how God has favored us to not only have a 8300 sq. ft building for the work of the ministry but to also have a church to worship in as we lift our voices in praise and reverence to a God who can do anything but fail.
Our goal is to save dying communities 1 day at a time and bring as many people to know the Lord by equipping and teaching the word of God in ways that the people can understand, relate and apply to their lives. To gather all those who are lost, to help them make a positive impact in a world that has become lost. Train them to become soldiers in the Army of Lord, by leading by example, living the word, breathing the word, and applying to our every day lives.
